Robyn gets a Blue Ribbon! Congrats!

Southern Wedding Magazine is a blog/magazine I always enjoy reading and love seeing new ideas that reflect the South. It's quite an honor to be recognized by this magazine and I'm so proud of our photographer (now friend)! Today, she was given a "blue ribbon" for her photography and mad skills!

You know I was even more excited when I saw my goofy face too! Totally made my day! Thanks Southern Wedding Magazine for picking Robyn Van Dyke! She totally deserves it! I hope this special feature brings more business her way!

Christmas Card Fail

I totally screwed up our Christmas card this year. Last night, I designed our Christmas card and put all my focus on the pictures and not the words. Did I mention, I was enjoying a glass of red wine too ( I know that's not an excuse)??!! Anyways, after I went through the transaction and fully paid for the cards.... I realized......WAIT!!! I didn't type our names...... OH NOOO!!!

I called customer service first thing in the morning to cancel the order. I was able to get a refund but they would have to get back to me regarding the shipment. A few hours later, I was given the dreadful news that our cards had been shipped. Yes, our family and close friends will be receiving a card that reads "Merry Christmas, love, Allison, Albert and Anna Hutchinson."

At least, I have been bringing humor to all my facebook friends today.

It's the thought that counts , right?

I wish I could be in North Carolina right now for Chris & Jenny's wedding weekend. The celebrations started tonight and wedding takes place tomorrow. Stay tuned for pictures! I'm so excited for these two lovebirds!

Cupcake Experiment: 41 Days

Yes, it's still here and going strong! I figure the cupcake needed a change of scenery so here is a picture I took about 5 minutes ago sitting on my Christmas table. Click here to read about the Cupcake Experiment.

Custom Ornament

My sister-in-law, Collyn brought us a unique gift on Saturday at our cookie exchange which I didn't get a chance to open until everyone left. It was a Christmas ornament! As a looked closer at the ornament, I noticed something familiar inside which happen to be our wedding invitation. Collyn is very crafty! It appears she shaved pieces of our invitation and place them strategically in the ornament. Some of the shavings read "Blair", "September 4", "The son of....", etc. This was such a clever and creative gift to give us for our first Christmas as husband and wife. I LOVE IT COLLYN!! THANK YOU!!!
