Last night, I went to see a "Russian Nutcracker Ballet." Although, I did see "The Nutcracker" on Sunday this was a completely different show. The dancers were amazing and I had a great time with our group.
Today, my boss held a "Holiday High Tea" at her home. It was elegant event filled with yummy teas, scones, cookies, mini sandwiches, white elephant exchange, laughter, and an overall great time. I made my tea cup cookies again....See below.
I left the party with my huge box of cookies from our exchange. Is it bad that I'm eating cookies as I write this blog? Ok.. I will admit it....I had cookies for dinner too! Bad Bridge! It's that time of year and I'm having FUN!
Sunday, I attended the Nutcracker at Phoenix Symphony Hall with my husband, aunt, uncle, cousin-in-law and her niece. It was such a lovely time! I've always enjoyed seeing the Nutcracker during this time of year. It puts me in the Christmas spirit! Classical music is something I truly appreciate so I leave you with this.....
Saturday night, I attended my cousin Bianca's play in Downtown Phoenix. I was greeted at the door by Santa himself. Immediately, I knew he sounded familiar. Yup, it was my Uncle Henry! It was a great night with family! Great job, Bianca!
This morning, Ryan and I watched our favorite show "Sunday Morning" which featured Christopher Plummer from Sound of Music. To be honest, I wasn't paying too much to what they were talking about because they started the segment with a clip from the "Sound of Music: Edelweiss" and immediately it took me back to so many memories. This song gives me goose bumps every single time. Listening to this song gives me peace and makes me want to watch "The Sound of Music" all over again. Such a classic movie! If you haven't seen it....YOU SHOULD!
At our wedding during the processional "Edelweiss" was played on the harp. The first time, I heard our harpist play this song I was in her living room with bridesmaid, Kimber. We both looked at each other with goose bumps and almost tears in our eyes. It was a memory I will always cherish with her. Something about it being played on the harp has a magical feel.
