I need a Tan

My senior year of college, I made a bet with friends that I would be tan by graduation. That tan came with a cost. Burning my skin at the tanning bed. Something I told myself I wouldn't do again. I enjoyed being tan but was afraid of what it was doing to my body. I have tried several spray tans and I'm typically left looking orange.

In October, Ryan's step-brother, Corey got married in Napa Valley. Beautiful Beautiful wedding! When Collyn walked down the isle she looked stunning and SUPER DUPER TAN! I was thinking she spent some quality time in the Arizona sun or the tanning bed. To my surprise, I was wrong. It was a spray tan. She looked perfectly tan in all her pictures.

Now, Collyn has a business in Scottsdale that provides the same tan she received on her wedding day. Bella Bronze To Go Arizona. I have been meaning to get with Collyn to try it out. I have heard it's amazing. To get a hold of Collyn, click here.

1st Bridal Shower Invitation

This Saturday, my boss, Dee Dee is hosting a bridal shower at her house. Hence the lovely invitation above. I'm excited yet nervous about being the center of attention. I guess I better get use to it for the day of the wedding. I'm looking forward to spending time with my favorite AAED ladies. Dee Dee has been working really hard on this event and she has also been very secretive. I will hopefully blog about the shower on Sunday. Don't worry, I will take plenty of pictures.

Photobooth Fun

Yesterday, Ryan and I attended a bridal show here in Phoenix. It was fun checking out all the bridal related vendors. The best part was sampling cakes, popcorn, and other assortments of foods. We had a blast testing out the wedding photo booths as well. We won't be using a photobooth for our wedding but it was still fun to try it out.

Ryan has some crazy crossed eyes in the first photo!

Engagement Photos

Jamie & I behind the scenes
Their are two people to thank for these photos. The photographer & the editor. My good friend, Jamie C. took our engagement photos. It was her wedding gift to Ryan and myself. Jamie was kind enough to pay and take us to the Botanical Gardens here in Phoenix and followed us around for some fun shots. She was such a great sport and a very giving friend. I'm lucky to have her in my life.

A graphical picture of Jason designed by him.
Due to a busy schedule at work Jamie was only able to edit some photos for our "Save the Date" card. My brother, Jason, whom is a graphic design genius, edited the rest of the pictures. We plan to use many of these photos at our wedding. A BIG THANK YOU TO JAMIE & JASON!

A small gift for the bridesmaids

Today, was spent working on crafty items for the bridesmaids. I decided I wanted personalized hangers for the bridesmaid dresses. I think it would add a nice touch and also be great for the photos. I just wasn't sure what or how I was going to personalize them but I figure it would come to me once I got to the store. After visiting several stores, I picked up various items for my project. Once I got home, I was starting to have doubts if this project would be successful, but I proceeded. By the end of the project, I was starting to smile.

The hangers are still getting some special additions which you'll see at the wedding.

For now..... I think it looks good. I hope my bridesmaids like them.

Bridal shower for the Future Mrs. Gaylor

Our good friends, Jimi and Christi are getting married this month in Duck Key, Florida. We had originally planned to celebrate with them in the Keys but then we got engaged and plans shifted. We are so excited for them and wish them a beautiful wedding. I can't wait to see the photos.

Two weeks ago, I got the pleasure of attending Christi's Hawaiian themed bridal shower. It was hosted by her best friend & Maid of Honor, Natalie.

The First Dance

The first dance is a life experience remembered for a lifetime, for newlyweds and wedding guests alike. I imagine the crowd disappears into the background as the bride and groom gaze into each other's eyes. Time slows down and all the memories that have been and are yet to be, are represented with the music. I want our first dance to represent the magnetism of our relationship and our future together as husband and wife.

You'll have to wait until the big day to hear what we have chosen.

Here are some of top picks:
