Cake Boss

Lately, I have been reaching out to different venues regarding our wedding cake. At first, I wasn't sure if we should go traditional, do something FUNKY, or maybe cupcakes. Every idea seemed GREAT! Why can't we do it all....right?? Ryan and I sat down and reviewed a variety of pictures and finally decided on our cake. You'll get to see out beautiful cake the day of the wedding. Below are pictures of different cakes we thought were fun. Maybe one of them is our cake......I guess you'll have to wait and see. ;-)

Silpada FAN!

Yesterday, I received an e-mail from Silpada. They have come out with a Bridal collection. It appears they have some lovely items as always. If you're not familiar with Silpada you must familiarize yourself with their jewerly. I have been to a few parties and have left a happy customer. We went on a Safari.. kind of...

Last week, I attended a conference in Prescott, AZ for work. Our Thursday evening event is typically an awards ceremony which always has a clever theme. This year's theme was a SAFARI! We had a Gorilla mingling during the cocktail hour, everyone was dressed to the nines, and the tables were masked with cheetah, tiger, and zebra prints. It was a lovely affair. I had to share with you our coordinated zebra outfits.

Getting the Royal Treatment on our Wedding Night

Bridesmaid, Carey contacted me a week ago asking about my plans for our wedding night. I replied to her e-mail, and informed her that I hadn't gotten that far in my planning. To my surprise, the next morning I had an e-mail confirmation from the Umstead Hotel & Spa to stay in their premiere suite. This was a gift from Carey & Kyle (husband).

If you're not from Raleigh, I have to tell you this hotel is a very NICE hotel.

I got the CALL!

A week ago, I received the call I have been waiting for..... MY DRESS HAS ARRIVED!

I haven't had a chance to go and see my dress, but I will be making time for it soon. My fittings will begin sometime in June. I better start getting my body in "bridal" shape. No more CHEESEBURGERS!

The dresses have been ORDERED!

Whew! Finally, got all 10 bridesmaid dresses ordered and they should be arriving sometime in July! Just in time for the wedding. Bridesmaid, Nicole plans to come straight to my house the day her dress arrives. We plan to play dress up that day! I can't wait to see all my "maids" in their dresses. They are going to look stunning.
