Glitter Shoes

This weekend, I found some fun/glittery shoes for the rehearsal dinner. I'm very excited about wearing them but I need to break them in. Tonight, I have been walking around my house in my party shoes. It's strange wearing glitter shoes while cleaning the house but it's FUN! I should start breaking in my wedding shoes too. My wedding shoes are perfect but I can't wear them for very long. I know.... problems. I'm working on making them comfy.

Happy Birthday, Debbie!

Today is Ryan's mother's birthday! I had the pleasure of meeting Debbie last summer at her and her husband's beautiful home in Idaho. She's a kind woman and I enjoy talking with her on a weekly basis. She has a creative spirit so we get along very well. Ryan and I wish his mother a HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY filled with a lot of love and blessings. We look forward to seeing her very soon.

Happy Birthday, Brent!

Today is Ryan's best friend, Brent's birthday. They have been friends for about 7 years now. Brent will be a groomsman in our wedding. Do you remember reading the post about Matchmaker, Deb ? Well we had two matchmakers and Brent was the other person to the special equation. I'm very thankful to have known Brent because he introduced me to an amazing man.

BEE-UTIFUL Bridal Shower

Today, I received this bee-utiful invitation from my sister and Maid of Honor, Miss Suzette. This invitation was custom made by Rinnykin Designs, check her out on facebook! Katherine, these turned out great!

I will be visiting North Carolina in a matter of weeks to finalize details and spend some quality time with family and friends. My sister and bridesmaids have a busy weekend planned for me including this BEE-UTIFUL Bridal Shower. I can't wait to see everyone!

Rehearsal Dinner Location

I'm excited to share that our rehearsal dinner location has been booked. Shirley & Ryan's dad have been busy planning this event for us but they needed our help with finding a location. My mom came to the rescue about two weeks ago, when she located a place called Second Empire in downtown Raleigh. I fell in love with it immediately judging by the pictures and Ryan loved the history of the location. This house was built in 1871 by Mayor William H. Hodd. The rehearsal is only for our wedding party so my apologizes ahead of time to all out wedding attendees. I can't wait to share this experience with our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and parents.

I have been researching wedding cardholders for quite some time. I know it's a detail that's so small, that it doesn't seem significant, but its all about the little touches for me. I really like the birdcage look but have been unsuccessful in my search. Over the weekend, I found a black birdcage (see below) that was PERFECT except it wasn't white.

Easy fix! Spray paint! Now I have a beautiful white birdcage for my wedding cards. Keep an eye out for it at the wedding. I'm still not done decorating it.

Today, I wish my Aunt & Godmother a HAPPY HAPPY Birthday! She's an amazing woman with such a kind heart and soul. Don't let her small size fool you. She's a leader, friend, mother, sister, aunt, god-mother and grandmother. She will be a part of our special day so keep an eye out for her during the wedding ceremony. Happy Father's Day!

Happy Happy Father's Day to all the amazing men in our lives. These men have shaped Ryan and I into the people we are today and we are forever grateful. We love you all very much and wish you all the best day.

My father is the hardest working man I have ever met in my life. He never stops working. Seriously! Yes, he is probably working as I write this post. Ryan says I get this trait from my father since I'm always doing something as well! What can I say, I'm a Walker Woman! Well.... for now.

1st Bridal Shower: Black & Yellow Themed

Today, my boss, Dee Dee hosted my first bridal shower which was held at her beautiful home in Scottsdale. My stomach was filled with butterflies upon my arrival but I was super excited. When I arrived at the Bark residence, I was greeted by Dee Dee at the door with a huge kool-aid smile. As I followed her into the direction of the party, I realized the room was filled with my wonderful wonderful friends. I'm grateful to have these people in my life ! Dee Dee worked so hard on this shower and everything turned out lovely. I'm forever grateful. Thank you to everyone that showed up today! Thank you for the gifts as well. Ryan and I are so excited!
