A Special Sign

The "and they lived happily ever after" sign was given to me by my friend Dee Dee at my first bridal shower, which she hosted. I knew immediately once I saw it that I would be using it for our wedding. As you see below, it's still with us today. A very special sign! Thanks again Dee Dee!

Our Bookshelf

Oops!

A few weeks ago at our cookie party, it was brought to my attention that our engagement picture was all over our house. Which is understandable, right? Well then I realized it was featured 5 times throughout our house.... OOPS! Ok... maybe that's too much. I swear we aren't conceited! It's pretty funny and made for a good laugh. We had no clue!

Ben Breedlove

This it national news yesterday and as I watched this video it literally gave me goosebumps. AMAZING and so sad at the same time. I know his family will miss him dearly.....RIP- Ben Breedlove

I prefer watching this video with no sound. It allows me to focus more on his story.

A Quote to Share

"The greatest beauty tip:
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his / her hands through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed, never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others. be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." - Audrey Hepburn

Christmas Blessings 2011

Wow, Christmas was pretty busy this year but I can't complain. I was surrounded by amazing family, friends, and awesome FOOD! If you know anything about me... I LOVE FOOD!

On December 23rd, Ryan and I took my grandfather to dinner and then to the Christmas service at our church. It was a evening I won't forget. My grandfather was very pleased and I think we made his day.

This was taken right outside the church!

Christmas Eve, December 24th: We spent our evening with Ryan's family. The night was filled with laughter, food, and lots of presents. I think everyone got spoiled that night! Check out all of Shirley's special details.

Christmas, December 25th: Ryan and I joined my family for a traditional Christmas dinner at Rustler's Rooste which is a restaurant that overlooks the whole city. It's quite beautiful.

Christmas Planking!

Our last stop, my god-mother's house. More food and drinks!

Happy 3rd Anniversary Carey & Kyle!

Three years ago, I was celebrating a wedding in a small town near Lake Tahoe. It was COLD and there was a lot of SNOW (as you can see in the picture above). It was a beautiful wedding and I was lucky to be a part of it. Happy 3rd Anniversary to Carey & Kyle! Ryan and I wish you both so much happiness!
